Inside Education’s first ever summit for educators and their studentsto learn together
80 high school students and 40 educators travelled from across the province for Inside Education’s first ever Energy Literacy Youth Summit, held March 17-20 in the Kananaskis. Together, we explored the most pressing issues relating to energy use, development and conservation in our province. Over three days, participants took part in a multi-dimensional program that generated awareness and discussion on a wide range of perspectives on Alberta’s energy story.
Now that the summit has ended, teams will be sharing their experience by implementing meaningful energy literacy and stewardship projects in their schools and communities. We look forward to following the stories that develop as the learning and discussions from Generate 2011 spread across the province.
